Not Shaped For a Life of an Unrelenting Pace
We have to understand clearly when it is the right moment to say when…
I thought doing more, pushing myself to exhaustion was the key for “getting somewhere”, but I simply realized my soul was never shaped for a life with an unrelenting pace. Climb higher and never pause is just not how we are built for the long run. Our Shepherd’s voice speaks a gentler truth “ come to me, all who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28.
When we enter into His rest, we are consciously releasing our burdens and anxieties, allowing God to work on our behalf according to His perfect and best timing. His care is always gentle, light, and easy, providing us with peace and comfort in the midst of life's challenges.
Continued pressure is not God’s idea of rest. Our souls need stillness and a chance to breath. It is in the quiet unhurried moments when the to do list waits and the phone lies silent that we know who we are. We are God's craftsmanship, his beloved, we are not our productivity.
What if we took a step back from the pursuit of constant demand and performance, released expectations, and allow peace to fill the spaces in our heart where pressure resides.

Listen to God's voice. What voices in my life push me harder and tell me to do more?
God’s speakes with gentleness and peace; never with pressure.
We need breathing room. When was the last time I was unhurried? How can I create more of that space in my week?
Give yourself grace over expectation. What am I carrying that God never asked me to hold?
