Not Shaped for an Unrelenting Pace
We have to understand clearly when it is the right moment to say when…
I used to believe that doing more and pushing myself to the point of exhaustion was the essential way to “get somewhere” in life. However, I have come to realize that my soul was never meant to endure such an unrelenting, fast-paced existence. Constantly rushing without taking a moment to pause simply isn’t how we are designed to thrive over the long run. Our Shepherd offers a softer, kinder invitation: “Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28) This gentle truth reminds us that rest is not just necessary, but a vital part of our well-being.
When we enter into His rest, we are consciously releasing our anxieties, surrendering our worries and burdens so that God can work according to His perfect timing and our deepest needs. We are intentionally trading our frantic rush cycles for His gentle care and guidance. He knows the right moment for every part of our journey. Breathe deep my friend and embrace unhurried moments—when the to-do list is set aside and the phone lies silent—it’s precious space to simply be, to feel safe, and to reconnect with ourselves and with Him.
