Meet Jackie
Hi, I’m Jackie. I am a table keeper and hostess, and I live in a little jewel box home in the valley where I create charming spaces of graceful living and hospitality. My work and life in the valley reflect a deep appreciation for the gathered table, the stories that shape us, and the quiet beauty of home. My home is a space to savor well-loved dishes and collected pieces that inspire a life lived in beauty and belonging.
With a background rooted in hospitality, gatherings, and meaningful connection, my work has taken me from Florida to Birmingham and now to the valley, where I’ve created experiences through events, women’s conferences, community initiatives, and theater production.
Today, I host seasonal tables in Valley Head, Alabama shaped by the season. Each table is built around simple, locally gathered food from my garden and nearby farms and markets, shared conversation, and a hands-on experience with a local maker. I also love hosting lunches from my home for new friends… a quaint conversation on the front porch with tea sandwiches from my hostess cart, light lunch from my antique inspired dining room, a brunch made from the valley in the breakfast room or when the weather cooperates, mocktails, mini bites, and moments from the courtyard and side porch.
My writing is also very much an extension of that same welcome. I’m currently developing Finally Home Reflections—a collection that honors the beauty of becoming through life’s unexpected turns, inviting you to a second bloom, and to discover home within again.
I’m also gathering Life in the Valley, a visual collection inspired by my everyday—seasonal tables, country living, hospitality, and recipes—capturing the beauty of a life lived close to home.
At the heart of it all is a simple intention—to create spaces, both in person and through my work, where women feel welcomed, at ease, and at home.
My family and I live in the country on 12 acres with our black lab Emma Rose, Beatrice Buns our English Spot Rabbit, two horses and a goat. In addition to writing, styling, gathered moments, and cooking, I collect mud boots, aprons, antiques, and cups and saucers.
